Mowing the lawn tuned to Wild with Sarah Wilson and her guest, Global Democracy expert Pete Davis. POW- with utter simplicity, clarity and punch, his raison d’être brings a warm, resonate knowing yes. At the heart of his work is the commitment to solidarity, which he beautifully describes as ‘building more relationships between more people in more ways… having more people see each other’s lives as part of their own. ‘( It’s the latter that works for me. I’ve always been taken by Ways of bringing people into connection with how interrelated we are). He leaves the conversation with this gem- ‘love is what calls us to be connected to each other’. I have hunted for decades to find the words. As I roll the mower back to the shed, I’m lighter and on fire.
